How to Make an Appointment
Bearsted Medical Practice now offers online access for triage and GP appointment requests. If you click the following link https://florey.accurx.com/p/G82074 and fill out the form shown, a GP will triage your request and contact you with either an appointment booking link, advice or signposting guidance to other more relevant services.
If you call the surgery you will be given the option for a link to the triage system to be sent to you or you can speak to a member of our reception team who will guide you through the process.
The clinical triage team will assess each request and signpost based on clinical need. You will receive an outcome on the same day.
Possible outcomes include a same day or future clinical call back from one of our healthcare professionals, a face to face urgent or routine appointment, a text with advice or signposting to other services.
During 1pm – 2pm, the Practice will remain open for either leaving or collecting prescriptions or correspondence. No doctors will be available at this time, and it will not be possible to make appointments. The telephone will only be open for medical emergencies so please do not ring between these times unless there is an emergency and you need urgent medical advice.
Please note the surgery is closed at weekends and on Public Holidays.
Nurse/ HCA Appointments
You are able to pre-book your appointment with the practice nurses or health care assistants for 1 month in advance.
Non-urgent advice: Emergencies
Bearsted Medical Practice is trying to reduce our patients having to attend the local A & E departments for ailments and conditions that could be better dealt with by us.
Please make it clear to the receptionist if your problem needs early attention. One of the doctors is available all day should you require urgent telephone medical advice.
